Fried Oysters with Ginger Recipe

Ingredients :

25 medium

1 teaspoon

2 teaspoons

1 1/2 tablespoons

 

 

Batter

5 tablespoons

1 tablespoon

5 tablespoons

1/2 teaspoon

Oysters

Salt

Fresh root ginger, finely chopped

Spring onions (scallions), finely chopped

Vegetable oil for deep-frying

Pepper to taste

 

Egg

Plain flour

Cornflour

Water

Baking powder

Method :
  • Shell and drain the oysters.

  • Sprinkle with salt, pepper and ginger.

  • Combine the ingredients for the batter until smooth.

  • Heat the oil in a wok or deep-fryer.

  • When very hot, dip the oysters individually into the batter.

  • Fry in bathes for 3 minutes until golden brown.

  • Drain.

  • Transfer to a heated serving dish and sprinkle with onion.

  • Serve.
