Steamed Fish with Sesame Seeds Recipe

Ingredients :

1 kg

1 cup

1/2 cup

2 cloves

1 tablespoon

2 tablespoons

2 teaspoons

1 teaspoon

1 teaspoon

2 tablespoons

3 tablespoons

Fish fillets

Desiccated coconut

Hot water

Garlic

Finely grated fresh ginger

Toasted sesame seeds

Salt

Ground turmeric

Ground black pepper

Rice flour

Chopped fresh coriander leaves

Juice of half a lemon

Banana or bamboo leaves and foil for wrapping

Method :
  • Wash and dry the fish fillets.

  • Put desiccated coconut, hot water, garlic and finely grated fresh ginger in a blender container.

  • Blend until coconut is very finely ground.

  • Turn into a bowl.

  • Mix in other seasonings.

  • Put fish fillets (cut into serving pieces) on banana or bamboo leaves.

  • Top with 3 teaspoons of the coconut mixture.

  • Wrap first in leaves, then in foil.

  • Steam for 15 minutes.

  • Serve while hot.
