Drain the tofu and cut it tin 1 cm thick slices.
Combine the flour, coriander, cardamom and garlic in a bowl; add the
water and stir until smooth.
Heat the oil in a large pan. Dip the tofu slices into the spice
mixture and coat thickly.
Place the tofu slices into the oil, 3 at a time, and cook over
medium heat for about 2 minutes, or until crisp and golden brown.
Drain on paper towels.
Note : Serve the tofu with stir-fried vegetables and any sauce of your
choice; for example, peanut, chili or soy sauce - the tofu soaks up the
